Can be a name of Stuart girl?

My friend had just the fifth child, a girl, having 4 kids.I was shocked to learn that she was appointed his Stuart. This is always a girl named?

Yes, both Stuart and Stewart were used as girl names before … but very rarely.

According to data of name of SSA child, Stuart and Stewart were used as names of girl during the 1980s and 1990s:
